Dude, there is so much wrong with online gaming support from everyone that isn't Microsoft.

That will be it's own mega post soon, but in fairnesss I should probably get my Wii in hand first (not that it will much matter, as it most likely wont do jackshit online for 6 months...)

I agree. Nintendo's obsession with 'its all about the games', is awesome to me. It really is all about the games, ultimately, but it doesn't mean you need to half ass the peripheral things either. I'm floored that nintendo isn't shipping the wii with any kind of online gaming support, thats just rediculous. Not to mention not being able to import your own music, even the PS2 had this ability with some games.

I'm also annoyed that they haven't released any sort of API for people to create their own wii channels. The concept of the channels, the always on, interface of information is a great one, if the wii was more powerful it'd be a huge salvo towards creating the center of the living room idea that the other systems want so desperately. But limiting channels to just nintendo supplied ones? Why can't I surf to a site in their opera browser and subscribe to a channel like an RSS feed? Why limit it to 20?
